CHICAGO — Police arrested 41 suspected members of the Four Corner Hustlers and Gangster Disciples street gangs in recent days after a series of raids led them to drug markets on the city's West and South sides.

After rounding up a number of West Side Four Corner Hustlers Thursday, police executed two search warrants near the 5000 block of West Augusta Boulevard, and recovered drugs, netting 13 suspects, police said in a news release.

Also on Thursday, cops nabbed 28 suspected Gangster Disciples in an investigation centered around drug traffic in the South Chicago police district, charging them with delivery and possession of a controlled substance.

On Wednesday, police intercepted a "suspicious freight shipment" in Brighton Park, netting 175 pounds of pot valued at $1.2 million. In Englewood, police seized more than 11,000 grams of marijuana, and took in about $13,000 worth of cocaine during a separate Rogers Park raid.

Police said each raid resulted in arrests and charges to documented gang members.
