True. Oregon was upset by Stanford late last year. If Oregon remains undefeated, then FSU/Ohio State will make a pretty good game.

I wasn't expecting us to open as an 11 point underdog Dixie. i thought they would figure our offense would keep it closer than that.

Klydon, I like Fla st. in the NC, they keep flip flopping with the ducks right now, but if Oregon loses Thursday, I see Fla St playing and having a good chance to win. They are pretty impressive.

We are getting there LaLou, watching this Oregon-Stanford game and I realize now that Oregon wouldn't finish but maybe 3rd in the SEC West! Maybe even 4th. They can't tackle this Gaffney kid from Stanford, hell Bama alone has 3 backs stronger than him if not MORE not to mention LSU and their backs! Their defense is piss poor and that is putting it lightly...

Oregon's out. Stanford dismantled them again, and now FSU has the clear path to the title game. What Stanford did to the Oregon offense may have put Johnny Football as the frontrunner for the Heisman.

Yep I was hoping Oregon would stay near the top so we could play but yet again they are done. Looks like Bama/FSU at this point which I would take, but we gotta get past LSU first.

Both Oregon and Bama are public teams. Some executives running sports books in Vegas have said that a title game between those two would have shattered betting records.

I think Bama/FSU could bring in more than Bama/Oregon. Bama fans are hardcore betters (they generally bet Bama regardless of the line) and FSU fans are just as crazy with money.

Yea the first half I was very worried, but I think depth and experience came through for us in the 2nd half. We MUST shore up our DB's after this year. Clinton-Dix is going pro for sure, Sunseri (who is out for the year) might not be ready and Belue graduates. We have some great DB's committed and hope to pick up top DB Marlon Humphrey (his Dad was the great Bobby Humphrey)

If Ohio State goes undefeated, I think you have to put them in the championship game against FSU (as long as they beat Duke). I think FSU would beat Ohio State handily, but I think FSU can beat any team in the country right now.

I think both Missouri and Auburn are better than Ohio State, but Auburn is two miracle plays away from being a three loss team, and while the Big 10 is a joke (and the ACC is almost as laughable), the fact that Ohio State blazed through its schedule, assuming a conference championship game, without a hiccup, should put them in the title game under this defective system.

By the way, I was shocked this morning that the OSU player, who was kicked out of Saturday's game for fighting and left the field by dramatically giving the finger to 100,000 jeering fans, will not be subject to a suspension. His actions disgrsced his university and the rivalry between the schools. If they let this kid wear the school uniform again, the school will bring shame on itself.

I don't know. I didn't follow them too closely. They admittedly had few challenges in a bad conference, but they seemed frequently to run up big scores against them. They may have struggledat times, but the objective result is that they won.

Michigan is a decent, but flawed team, which I was hoping would beat the Buckeyes. And it obviously is the big rival, so I don't fault OSU for not blowing them out in Ann Arbor. I agreed wholeheartedly with the decision to go for two at the end because I think Michigan knew they were outclassed and had little chance of repeatedly stopping OSUon the short fields in overtime.

I think the SEC is the best conference in the country, but they weren't as dominant this year as they had been in the past. Normally, an SEC team is a given in the national championship game, and maybe Auburn with a win jumps OSU and plays Florida State, which presents a sticky question: Will Jameis Winston be charged with a crime before the game?

That would have a profound effect on the national championship game. Are prosecutors delaying a decision to bring charges to to insulate themselves from a rabid respose from Seminole fans?

Ohio State is flawed, no doubt. But there is no way that if they beat Michigan State in the Big Ten Champ game that they get jumped by any one loss team.

The Buckeyes have a prolific offense with Miller and Hyde. But their defense was exposed horribly against Michigan and at various other points in the season. Would they beat Alabama or Auburn? My guess is no. But they can compete with Florida State.

If FSU's QB is charged, then there is no reason to delay things any further. If the NCAA is influencing things to keep him from being a legitimate Heisman candidate, then they should be consistent and keep him out of any bowl game.

Regardless of what happens for the BCS championship game, the Auburn-Alabama game was one of the best games I have ever watched. What a phenominal ending, not only with the runback but also that beautiful shovel pass that Auburn used to tie the game at 28 late in the 4th quarter.
