Exactly. These two were the best characters in the series, because you really believed they were old school mobsters. They had leadership qualities, which made them a threat to take over the family.

While Phil played a prominent role in the Lupertazzi plot, I feel that Feech's storyline had more potential than starting a lawn mowing war and stealing cars at a wedding.

Feech's character reminded me of Sonny Franzese. His son, Michael, implied in his autobiography that the Colombos were worried about Sonny's ambition and power, and arranged for him to get sent back to prison whenever he got out on parole. Michael cited that as a major reason why he became disillusioned with the mob.
