Ernest "The Hawk" Rupulo botched the murder of Willie Gallo. This is the same Rupulo that flipped against Vito Genovese and nearly sent him to the chair until Peter La Tempa was poisoned.
The mafia cops, Eppolito and Carracapa, murdered the wrong Nicky Guido. Later on, Burt Kaplan testified against the cops over his anger over the innocent man being whacked.
Kaplan was under indictment for heroin dealing, that is what made him testify. He received a deal in exchange for his testimony.
