On the January 19,1963 Sam Perrone,a Detriot mobster was heavily injured by a bomb placed in his car.When Perrone turned the ignition key the bomb went off.Sam lost his right leg but survived.The car was blown to pieces.The car hood went over the roof of a two story building.Responsible for the murder attempt was Tony Giacalone.
