The memorial is magnificent.

Was watching the tapes of the real time events this morning. Still seems like it happened yesterday.

Overall I do not think the U.S leadership has handled it well. Bush was a disaster whose inattention was a partial cause of 9/11, and then his abandonment at Tora Bora and the Iraq war were both horrible decisions. Obama was reight to get out of Iraq, but his surge in Afghanistan was stupid, and he is all over the map on Syria. Both Bush and Obama have usurped a great deal of our right to privacy since then. I personally don't care who is reading my e mails because I don't really have anything to hide, however in principle the extent of surveillance these days is troubling.
