as far as new england goes its definetley joe barboza and john 'the basin street butcher' matarano. in the earlier days flemmi and whitey did alot of hits themselves too.
As for the younger guys in new england it'd be guys like mike prochillo, darin buffalino, gene giangrande, richard devlin, billy angelesco.
