Theres not a 100,000 mobster like there are gang members in chicago. The mob barely even exists outside of the new york city area except perhaps in nj and philly, so trying to compare the number of informants in the mob to the number of informants in the thousands of street gangs and drug organisations that dominate the drugs trade and criminal activity in many major cities not just in the north east is like saying a gold fish is as dangerous as a shark( im not good with metaphors).
