The father of the Gambino brothers´ (John b 1940, Giuseppe "Joe" b ?, Rosario b 1942 and Erasmo b?), Tommaso, was a 3d cousin of Carlo Gambino. Joseph Gambino (1930-2004) (not the one mentioned above) was another distant relative who briefly served as a captain in 1980. I´m not sure exactly how they were related. This Joseph is the one pictured in the famous "Sinatra picture". Tommy Gambino´s brother Joe (son of Carlo) was never made. There is also a Joe "Red" Gambino who I think is the son of Paul (Carlo´s brother). A Giuseppe Gambino (also a distant relative of Carlo) was murdered in 1988 by Francesco Oliveri.
