I vaguely recall that in at least ONE of the 2000 debates, Bush and Gore were seated; not sure if it was for the same reason.

Personally I think the height difference is a legitimate factor for the Bush people to bring up re debate rules. In a campaign as close as this one, everything possible may as well be taken into consideration.

In the case of Kerry...maybe a no wives campaigning rule might want to be taken into account !!
