I really don't care for police officers. It seems like there have been more and more reports of cops shooting family pets where there was no threat. You shoot my dog then I consider you a threat.
It seems pretty simple that you don't enter someone's yard without permission and then shoot their dog because you consider it a threat. But it doesn't seem to matter. There have also been instances in which caged dogs were shot. I think this is an outgrowth of an overmilitarized police force. Poor attitudes, poor training and virtual legal immunity on such issues lead to these things.
