The Ravenite social club closed in 1997 and is now a shoe store.

The Triangle social club closed in 2011 and is now a tea shop.

Have any of you visited those places? I'm sure they are both completely redone and look nothing like they used to, but it would still be cool to see. I would also like to go in the old Bergin Hunt and Fish.

That was simply when the property's ownership changed. I'm not sure how long the club was still used by the Genovese family up to that point.

I have been to both places. I can attest to the fact that the Triangle had stopped being used as a social club long before 2011. At least as early as 2006 it was padlocked, deadbolted and in disrepair.

The Ravenite would make any true New Yorker want to vomit. Not only is it a women's shoe boutique, but the owner is obnoxious and has a picture of Chairman Mao in the store.

I don't recall the exact date, but the Triangle has been shuttered since at least 2001. I was still working in the funeral industry at that time and one of the very first 9/11 funerals that I worked was out of Saint Anthony's, which is on Houston and Sullivan, literally like a hundred feet from the old Triangle. I remember the day well because I was telling a couple of the pallbearers whose club it was, and they didn't believe me. The hysterical part is that they were both cops (you get a lot of off-duty cops and firemen doing funeral work, as drivers and pallbearers, here in New York). And now that I think of it, Chin's funeral was out of Saint Anthony's as well.

theres still plenty of socail clubs in boston all over theres the gemini and soccer club in north end ( little italy ) marconi in roxbury ( people thinks flemmi owned it but he never did he was just a frequent associaite distant member to say the least ) and the bunker in eastie as well as bobby russo's club and like 6 more thats under the radar and i will keep that way just because its quiet and real low key i tell you this one is on route 16 in everett and the other is right in busy downtown finicail district weird location but its there

The most stereotypical social club I have seen recently is in Carroll Gardens - The Van Westerhout Cittadini Molesi Social Club. The only family I know of that has any legit presence in Carroll Gardens is the Genovese Family. The crew is run by Frankie Iliano and Kid Blast. Based on their stature I highly doubt any other family has tried to operate in that neighborhood recently and I think it is a safe assumption that these guys frequent the club (especially considering their age).

That said - I would love to see some recent photos of the two of them (Illiano and Kid Blast). The only photos I remember seeing were a few Ivy posted a while back and they are pretty young in them.
