Its a prettu random reason. My son is a huge Prem league fan, and I started watching with him. For some reason we liked Hull City after they beat out Bristol City to get into the Prem League from relegation, and I just started following them, and have suffered the past few years since they were relegated.
Personally it is more fun to root for an underdog than the usual suspects, Man U, Man City, Pool, Everton, Arsenal etc.
