I think SinatraClub is right up to a point. It's a big reason why the LCN has been able to maintain more control over sports betting, i.e. because players are usually Caucasian. That's not to say blacks or Hispanics don't ever place bets but, at least in the Hispanic communities, the numbers or some other form of lottery seems to be the main thing. The Cuban Corporation certainly had it's bookmaking but it seemed to be secondary to the numbers. Whereas, for the LCN, numbers is secondary to the bookmaking.
