I'm currently reading his book. I have heard it would be a great book from a few people. I'm getting towards the end and most of the stuff im sure is true. I'm having a hard time believing his story of him personally killing Roy DeMeo just randomly one day after they ate at a restaurant. Wasn't it proven that it was done at a relative of Nino Ganji's? With one of the Gemini Twins being the shooter or something like that? I might be off but i thought that was the legit story and now here comes Kuklinski saying he did it? I realize he had alot of people not careing wether he lived or died towards the end of his life but im pretty sure if someone just killed him out of no were there would have to be some retaliation since he was made guy right? Wouldn't DeMeo's crew be extremely pissed off if he was just randomly killed one day without anyone giving the ok to do it?

Also in his book he claims to have been the one that shot Carmine Galanti, I thought the contract was given to Joey Massino and his group?

Then there is the Paul Castellano hit which he also says he was apart of and i thought Sammy Gravano released the names of the guys him and Gotti sent to do that shooting?


I just hate bullshit facts i like the know the true story cam anyone help me piece this stuff together and is he telling the truth was he really there for all of these legendary murders? Im not seeing it. I just usually lurk around here and soak up information and i know there are ALOT of extremely knowledgeable people on here people that know alot about these specifics murders and i just want to know what really happened or what really SUPPOSEDLY happened.

The 1991 HBO interview was the closest to the truth, after that show aired and he got all the publicity from it is when the bullshit went into overdrive. He thrived on the attention that he got from that first show and thats when he started taking credit for every hit since the one on JFK. If he was a little older he probably would of claimed to have done that one too. He was a local murderer and most of Carlo's book is complete bullshit and so is the second interview he did for HBO in my opinion.

He tried to hitch his wagon to the Roy Demeo bandwagon but i seriously doubt DeMeo used him for anything and i have my doubts about if the Iceman even knew Roy at all on a mob business level or any other level for that matter.

Kuklinski is a fraud.Do yourself a favor and stop reading the book!Try to forget everything you've already read.Kuklinski tried to say he killed EVERYONE,and people started to eat that shit up like a fat man at a buffet.he was nothing but a lying fakester!

also i forgot he claimed to have been responsible for the killing of hoffa too!

Thats what i was starting to get out of it especially when he said he killed Galanti i was like ughhhh no i remeber reading somewhere that it was a very well known fact that Joesph Massino and his crew helped with that and it. He was shot by guys in his crew and left in the trunk of his caddy.

He killed for his own business and personal reasons, but I don't believe he ever did any work for LCN.He just tried to take credit for every high profile hit in the eastern US.

I agree with Jimmy on that. He killed guys that he had personally been doing business with or had problems with but i really doubt the mob ever used him.

while he was without a doubt a killer, its been pretty well understood that kuklinski just enjoyed getting people all wound up by telling these greatly exaggerated stories. he seemed to get a real kick out of messing with people's heads, and it made no difference as he was never getting out of prison anyway.

They found a chandelier placed on his body. I wonder why the killers put it there? A message perhaps? Or was it just pure coincidence the chandelier happened to be in the trunk?

According to Capeci and Albert Demeo,the chandelier was to be taken for cleaning or repair I believe,so was purely coincidental.
