Abbomante has been around a long time...albeit in prison most of the time...hes from pleasant avenue
That's the thing, he can't stay out of jail to save his life. He's about 10 or 12 years older than I am, but I remember him well from that neighborhood.
It's very telling that he cut his teeth with the Pleasant Avenue guys, yet ended up with the Gambinos rather than the Luccheses or the Genoveses or even the Bonannos .
thats what threw me off when i read the book PB...how did he wind up with the Bino's?
