A post mortem will be carried out today on the body of a man shot dead in a pub in Dublin last night.

Paul Cullen, 25, died after he was shot several times at The Cabra House pub shortly after 7pm.

Gardaí in Cabra are now trying to establish a motive for the murder, but believe it is connected to the victim's involvement in crime.

Mr Cullen had previous convictions for drug dealing and assault and had been warned that his life was in danger.

Two gunmen escaped on a motorbike after last night's shooting.

Gardaí have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
