A few oldies off the top of my head:

I Love Lucy (Funny is funny, even after all these years.)

Burns & Allen (Gracie Allen was brilliant. Period.)

The Mary Tyler Moore Show (A great ensemble cast.)

Chef (Lenny Henry as a black Gordon Ramsay - years ahead of its time.)

The Vicar of Dibley (A gem from beginning to end.)

Fawlty Towers (John Cleese. Basil. 'Nuff said. Or, should that be Flowery Twats?)

I'll probably think of more in the days to come, but for now, these are among my all-time favorites. (And I'm also showing my age!)

Signor V.

"For me, there's only my wife..."

"Sure I cook with wine - sometimes I even add it to the food!"

"When life itself seems lunatic, who knows where madness lies?"

"It was a grass harp... And we listened."

"Do any human beings ever realize life while they live it? Every, every minute?"

"No. Saints and poets, maybe... they do some."
