Culturally they may be Russianized even though most of them still wear a chain with Jewish star attached to them. Ethnically they are still full blooded Ashkenazi Jews.
Funny thing is, their surnames are very Jewish while their first names are often Russian. ( Evsei Agron, Vladimir Beigelman, Boris Nayfeld, Mikhail Rabo,...)
