That's true. The uptown guys almost always moved either north or east. Staten Island was for the downtown and Brooklyn guys.

But the truth? We almost crossed the Guinea Gangplank after we got married. My wife grew up in Queens and later Massapequa, so when we first got married we compr
omised and lived in Astoria for almost two years. When it was time to buy a house, we simultaneously bid on a place on Staten Island and the home we eventually bought in Throggs Neck. The Bronx worked out and Staten Island fell through. It was pretty close, though.


North to Rhinebeck for us on the weekends only. School finishing Friday couldnt come fast enough! Boomer's Taxi service!
