I guess time is flying by all too quickly; DC5 lead vocalist Mike Smith died February 28, 2008 at age 64 following a back injury - just two weeks before the group was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Denis Payton died December 17, 2006 at age 63.

I really liked their music, too. Liked it a lot. The really frustrating thing was that for a great many years, Dave Clark (who owned the rights to everything) refused to re-release any of their music to new audiences. Not until just a few years ago.
