Ok lets get real. Who has a legitimate, active LCN family left? I was hoping to find something in New Orleans but I can't find shit. We know Philly has a family but they are on trial currently. Don't know how that will end up. There isn't much evidence that Cleveland, Milwaukee, or Kansas City is still active. Yeah they have a handful of old bastards on a chart but lets get real about it. Same goes for Tampa and New Orleans. Who do you guys think is still active outside of NY and Chi-town?

Nyc Chicago New Jersey (Decalvacante) Philadelphia New England (Boston and Providence) Detroit NYC also has activity in Florida Those are the families most active There's some still active but not as much as the top like Kansas City Buffalo L.A. Cleveland Nicky, I know there are charts floating around the internet for the KC, LA, Buffalo, and Cleveland familes. But do we know they are seriously active? And as a mob buff I WANT them to be active I'm just skeptical.

In terms of families that meet the RICO definition, i.e. a formal structure and ongoing activity, there's at most 10 families left - the 5 NY families, New Jersey, New England, Philadelphia, Chicago, and maybe Detroit.
In terms of cities where there are still members living, those include Buffalo (which actually has about 20 members left), NE Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Milwaukee, St. Louis, Kansas City, Tampa, New Orleans, Denver, and Los Angeles.

Is there any sign of LCN activity at all in LA? Not even a sports book or anything? Who are the big bookies out there, anyone know?
Lot of money in LA you'd think they would try to jump start the place and get a piece of the action.. There really hasn't been a mob case in LA in recent years. Nothing significant anyway. Back in the late 1990's Jimmy Caci was busted for counterfeit travelers checks. This was about the time the FBI was doing it's "Operation Thin Crust" which dealt with whatever remained of the mob's presence in Vegas; and that included some elements of the LA family. For years, Ronald "The Cigar" Sacco was a huge bookie in California. Skinny said he's still active. Kenji said Paulo "Paulie Tattoos" Rossi, who's an associate, has a decent sized book. LA member Mike Esposito still owns his porn company, Gentleman's Video. I think Tommy Gambino is still out there. So is Gambino member Joe Isgro. California is just too far away and, with the mob's scope shrinking as time goes on, there just aren't the numbers out there for really anything substantial.
