I expect that Chris Kyle was probably politically to the right of where I am.
But that is no reason for political opponents to use the occasion of his murder to make snarky comments about "no tears for a mass murderer" or "live by the sword, die by the sword" or calling him "scum". There are American soldiers who are alive today because of actions he took. And he died trying to help another veteran.
Something is really wrong in the American politic when someone's death is occasion for political gotcha or insults. Right or left, it's not the thing to do.
