He apparently reported the incident to his parole officer so he's not in trouble for that.

I don't understand people getting dramatic and upset on internet boards because they're gullible.

This thing is headed for hung jury and they will all be released IMO ... Jurors seem to be milking the system ... they need to end this - becoming a joke to the taxpayer

KC Gizzo its not a matter of being gulible, but when you see someone thats been following the trial from day 1 and even claims to go there and says ''they are reading the verdict now'' why wouldn't you tend to believe him. Also a lot of people on these boards think Uncle Joe and Staino may be found guilty and Borgesi may walk.So basically that's what he said, what's so guilable about that.It sounded real to me.Like SC said one of the rules here is giving out false information, knowingly.Thats kids stuff.

What's The Bet On Mob Trial Deliberations?
By George Anastasia
For Bigtrial.net
http://www.bigtrial.net/2013/01/whats-bet-on-mob-trial-deliberations.html

So it has come to this.

Does the jury in the trial of mob boss Joseph “Uncle Joe” Ligambi and six co-defendants want to deliberate on Super Bowl weekend, or will the panel, which finished its 16rh day of deliberations this afternoon, come back with a verdict tomorrow?

The anonymously chosen jury of eight men and four women went at it for six more hours today without asking a question or requesting additional evidence. The panel has been holed up in the deliberation room off the 15th floor courtroom since Jan. 8.

Judge Eduardo Robreno told the jurors this afternoon that they will deliberate from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday if the process is still ongoing after tomorrow’s session. The trial,, which began on Oct. 18 and extended over 10 weeks, included approximately 33 days of testimony. Tomorrow the jury will have spent more than half that amount of time in deliberations, a virtually unheard ratio, according to veteran criminal defense attorneys.

“This is unbelievable,” said one.

The lengthy deliberations have already put a trip to Italy by lead defense attorney Edwin Jacobs in jeopardy. Jacobs is supposed to leave Thursday for the two-week trip, but Robreno has thus far denied the lawyer’s request that an associate fill in for him if deliberations continue deep into next week.

When this trial began on Oct. 18 no one expected that it would still be going at by the end of January. Now it’s heading into February.

Ligambi, 73, and his co-defendants face a racketeering conspiracy charge in addition to assorted charges of gambling, loansharking and extortion. Ligambi is also charged with fraud and obstruction of justice.

Two questions hung over deliberations today. Will the jury finish tomorrow and who do you like in the Super Bowl? Most observers believe the odds are better at picking the Super Bowl than on when the jury will finish.

Late Friday afternoon and nothing....This is getting crazy, if they show up with nothing after weekend deliberations I would screaming for a miss-trial if I was the defense...

Miss-trial and bail for sure..

agree - nothing happens this weekend and the judge will be pressured to call mistrial but would that mean they get retried?

Was Ligambi A 'Garbage Mobster' Or Salesman?
By George Anastasia
For Bigtrial.net
Read more at http://www.bigtrial.net/2013/02/was-ligambi-garbage-mobster-or-salesman.html

Was Joe Ligambi a "garbage mobster" collecting a salary and benefits for a no-show job or was he a hardworking salesman who helped his company, South Philadelpha-based Top Job Disposal, win a highly lucrative contract at the Food Distribution Center?

That may be one of the questions the jury in Ligambi's ongoing mob racketeering case is now wrestling with.

The panel completed a 17th day of deliberations this afternoon without reaching a verdict. But the jury did ask for a copy of Top Job's contract with the center, a piece of evidence introduced by the defense during the 10-week trial.

What does it mean?
"Who knows," said a defense attorney. "They've asked questions about this before. We don't know where they are."

More important, he and others observers said, is whether the jurors know where they are.

Are they, as Assistant U.S. Attorney Frank Labor suggested nearly three weeks ago, "wandering in the desert?" Or are they moving toward a resolution of the 52-count case and the fates of Ligambi and his six co-defendants?

The wandering, if that in fact is the case, will continue this weekend. U.S. District Court Judge Eduardo Robreno has ordered the jury to report at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow and again on Sunday if deliberations continue. The panel will be excused each day at 3 p.m.

The extraordinary weekend session -- coming at the same time as the Super Bowl -- was seen as an attempt by the judge to nudge the now marathon deliberation process along. But the jurors appear to be in no hurry.

"I think they're enjoying themselves," said another observer who has been close to the scene for several weeks.

The one piece of evidence the panel asked to see today was the Top Job contract that called for the company to receive about $17,000-a-week for removing waste from the sprawling 28-acre distribution center when it was located on Packer Avenue in South Philadelphia. It has since moved to Southwest Philadelphia.

Top Job had the contract for 10 years beginning in 2000. Ligambi was hired as a salesman shortly after the contract went into effect. His original salary was $1,000-a-week. In 2008 it was reduced to $500-a-week. He also qualified for medical benefits.

What role he played in obtaining the contract for the company was a fundamental question that was never clearly answered during the trial.

Testimony from a Food Distribution Center executive indicated that Top Job got a chance to meet and pitch its proposal for handling the trash removal business through the intercession of Anthony Borgesi, Ligambi's nephew and the brother of co-defendant George Borgesi.

Ligambi's job at the trash company is related a charge that he used his "no-show" job to fraudulently obtain $220,000 in union-financed medical benefits for himself and his family. If the jury finds that he had a legitimate job and did work for the company, the fraud charge would appear to be without foundation.

Questions about Ligambi's role with the trash company were first raised in a report by the New Jersey State Commission of Investigation in December 2011. The SCI report, entitled "Industrious Subversion," cited what it alleged was his no-show job as an example of the mob's incursion into the trash business.

Ligambi was one of nearly a dozen mob members and associates linked to trash companies in different parts of the state. (Top Job was affiliated with a New Jersey company at the time.) The SCI labeled them "garbage mobsters" and said they had a "hidden hand" in the highly lucrative operations of the trash and recyling businesses.

Ligambi and his co-defendants are all charged with racketeering conspiracy, the primary count in the indictment. He and the others also face assorted gambling, loansharking and extortion charges. Ligambi is also charged with one count of obstruction of justice.

That the jury is again focusing on Top Job could indicate that it is drawing to the end of its deliberations. Then again, it could just mean that the panel is wandering around in a 52-count indictment and still unable to reach any conclusion.

Just a thought . Maybe the Jury doesn't believe that the crimes should be illegal ! I think we may see many of the charges as Not Proven or Not Guilty ? I don't understand the laws with poker machines, but shouldn't the bar owner be on trial ? Didn't the bar owner pay out ?

I could see when I look back that Angelina has an extensive record but Lucibello has always seemed to miss the big time convictions. What I'm getting at is I wonder right now if Lucibello had it to do over again he would have still pleaded guilty.I saw his prison time its not like he has a lot but if he had seen it through he may have beat it altogether of if found guilty maybe not getting much more of a sentence then he already got, bands he has a pretty clean record. It's like he almost had nothing to lose if he took the trial where on the other hand Angelina if he had been found guilty he would have been looking at substancial time.Yes-No?

Consider the source. Dicknose is, well, a dick. No offense Dicknose. If you were following that closely, you would know anyway. So yeah gullible if you believe a known dick, who is known to have a laugh at people's said gullibility. SC don't need to be brought up, he does what he sees fit. It's only an issue for him cause you were upset about it.

On the topic, Borgesi walks. Limp Dick Lou seems like a guy that tries too hard and comes across as dishonest. Staino gets some light sentence for being a by-proxy kinda tough guy. Canalichio goes down longer (no maricon) on choice of words and decides what he wants then. 50/50 on Ligambi. Tough to convict on some laughs even though less has convicted. But if Borgesi gets off, Ligambi is okay there. Scoops walks to talk another day. But, it doesn't matter, Nicodemo is flipping IMO. I wanna know where the CH Gambinos sit if Philly gets decapitated b/c of that. Eat up some of a dwindling Philly's S. Jersey business? More? They seem to do things a bit different.
