Lavi - What a horrible accident!! So very sad. We didn't hear anything about it here in the US. Still and all, I wouldn't mind being in Sicily with my family right now. I haven't seen them in 5 years, and since September 11th, they're too chicken to fly. Ironic, isn't it? They have the money, but are afraid to fly. I'll fly, but don't have the money.

I have the money and am not afraid to fly (I'd visit New York NOW!!!), but cannot leave my sick Mom .....sure, life can be very ironic..... Anyway, I'm sure you'll come back to Sicily sooner or later, SB!

So, some of you may or may not know about the Deli I used to work at? Business got really slow, we couldn't afford to restock the shelves, customers stopped coming in, and it just got to be a generally depressing place to be for 8 hours.

Well, towards the end, my boss and his family ran away to California... somewhere in LA. They left his wife's parents to run the store, because it was legally in their names. Well, they couldn't afford to pay any of us, and that place was like a family.. so none of us got paid for the last couple months of work, with the promise (signed on paper and notorized and everything) that we would get paid as soon as they sold the store.. They'd use that money to pay us.

Well, my check finally came in yesterday. They sent it back home, because they don't have my address here in Morgantown.

It was for $522.. My mom said she was going to keep $360 to pay a month of my rent around Christmas time (I paid the first 4 months of rent, and now I'm broke)... But anyway, she said she was going to keep that much and deposit the rest of it. I was pretty pissed that she was keeping my money away from me, but whatever. So then she calls me and tells me she deposited $52, and that she'll give me the rest little by little.. in, like, 20 dollar incriments. Because she thinks I'll spend it all.

... ITS MINE.

She won't give me my money. Even though I'm starving down here, and eating (hopefully) one meal a day.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHGHGHGHHGHG. She sucks.

That's the end of my story, I just needed to vent.

So, how was your weekend?

I spent Saturday afternoon at the Emergency Room as my 11 year old was treated for a buckle fracture of the right wrist after a bike fall.
I spent Sunday evening from 6PM to 1AM in the emergecy room with my 13 year old, who was treated for a fracture of the right wrist while playing football.
We had a surprise birthday sleep over party for my 9 year old daughter Saturday night. She had eight girls over and they didn't get to sleep until 5:15AM. My highlight was having my son take the girls on a nighttime flashlight walk along a very dark nature trail in a wooded area behind our house. I hid, and as they approached, I jumped from out of the bushes with a "Scream" mask and a large stick.

For my first post since migration to this new format, I'd decided to post a picture of my left toe. I forgot to take the picture though. I'll do that sometimes tomorrow. Does it matter if it is not in my first post? I hope not.

You're doing the right thing. Yes, it's your right to the money when you want, but in the long run just keep track of what she's giving you so you get all you earned. Then, just make sure anything you earn from now on isn't filtered through your mother. Good luck, bogey.

We are getting snow flurries now

We've been getting snow flurries too, Mig. I kinda wish it was snowing in my room right now. The ventilation system in my room is dumb, its gotta be at least 90 degrees in here.. the furnace is blowing nonstop hot air into my room.. and I can't shut the vent. :(... I've got two fans blowing directly on me. In October. Ahhhhhh this house SUCKS.

AND my tooth randomly fell apart today. I guess I had a pretty bad cavity in the back of my mouth, and today I was eating and part of it chipped off... I went into the bathroom and looked in a mirror, and a couple more little chunks came off. It hurts a bunch.
