Worms - earthworms in particular - supposedly have more protein per pound than chicken.
It is true that most of us consume a quantity of insects each week. Apparently when grain is stored in silos, millions of small flying and crawling insects are attracted. I even heard that the Dept. of Agriculture has specifications as to the permissable amount of insects in our wheat.
Don't feel bad, SB. When my roommates from school and I were having a party years ago, I grabbed my can of beer, took a big drink and discovered that I had actually picked up the can that one of my roomies, who enjoyed smokeless tobacco, used for spitting his tobacco juice.
