Assuming your cousin purchased the ring at a jewelry store, was John Chiazzese affiliated with this store, perhaps even the owner of the store??
John owns Throggs Neck Jewelers, on the corner of Tremont and Greene, right across the street from Louie's Seafood. He's an okay guy. Everyone in the neighborhood uses him for engagement rings and whatnot. I should point out that my cousin purchased the ring "outside" the confines of the store, and pretty much brought the problem on himself. Gerry had a bad rep, and I'm not just saying that because he got popped.
