My Italian/Irish in-laws believe that if you eat chicken on New Years day you will scratch the whole year. You also have to eat a grape after saying "Happy New Year" at 12:01. Very scientific.
My Scottish family believe that if you just keep drinking all year, it makes the world a better place!!
