Oh, kind of related to Beth's post...my daughter works at an elementary school in Riverside and they had to cancel having a PTA because they couldn't get ANY parents to volunteer. Isn't that sad? ohwell

Apparently the same 3/4 women had been doing it but either didn't want to do it anymore because of lack of support from parents, or their children moved on to middle school. Anyway, as of the beginning of the school year (which starts today for year-round), there is no PTA. This is the first time I've ever heard of a school with no PTA. Hopefully, a few parents will get one started.
