Not a massive fan of either really but i would go for Sinatra, because my mother used to listen to him when i was a kid!!

I loved NKC's silky voice. He thought smoking cigarettes helped the tone of his voice. Before a show or recording sessions he would chain smoke to improve the sound. Too bad they didn't associate smoking and lung cancer back then.

Cole never wanted to be a singer--he was a great jazz pianist. But his fans loved his warm tones, so he sang--and sang superbly. I love lots of his songs. But, Sinatra left a much larger, and much more diverse, body of work. He's at the top.

Cole had a fine voice but Sinatra was bigger than life. He was almost as good an actor as he was a singer. He was the better all around entertainer.
