Seems more like a question for techie Mr. Babe. But I do know that I can pretty much get wireless service from anywhere in the house. We have three laptops and two desktops in the house, and they all work off the router with no problem.

Mr. Babe says 54 megabits per second (the G) is good, and should be more than enough for your needs. The Super G (whatever the hell that is) tends to interfere with cordless phones. I know that we have a Netgear, if that is also helpful.
