I know we have posters from all over the World on here. But as far as criminal defense attorneys there are good ones,bad ones and list could go on... I'm throwing this out there because I'm getting a bit weary of one of my my co-defendants attorney. The case had been delayed for over three years now. It's got to the point where I'm fed up since it has been drug out for so long.I'm in a complicated spot. I feel that there have been conflict of interest that when addressed could have directly had the case thrown out but then again these guys see each other everyday they have to work together on cases and with this particular case I feel as I'm going to get thrown under the bus considered I didn't turn Stoolie like one has..another co-defendant of mine is a millionaire that's what has me on edge.. I have a feeling that my attorney hasn't been effective enough and never considered filing any motions that I think would be effective in helping me ....
Sorry I haven't been on here long. And understand if you don't feel comfortable saying.. But what's the case for? What are the charges? One of your codefendents is a millionaire and the other went stoolie? Sounds fucking horrible

DNM, what did you do? Or better yet, what are you accused of doing? A home invasion of a drug dealer who got shot. I was arrested 16 months after the incident occurred based on hearsay of a cooperating witness who was the only person that caught near the scene with a good amount of cash, a firearm, and prescription drugs, Charges are... Consiparacy,A few Gun Charges , Breaking and Entering, Burglary,Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, Burglary, I've been out on bail for a little over 3 years now. I graduated from Temple University six months prior they indicted me on the charges above. I was already on probation at the time my mouthpiece scheduled a surrender I was in jail for about 10 days so I had a bail reduction as well as a detainer lifted. It's starting to wear me thin considering the accusations it's hard for me to make progress in life.

1. Ask yourself what evidence there is against you; the general rule is that a conviction will not stand only on the testimony of a co-conspirator. In other words, there must be evidence other then the testimony of this fellow who fingered you. What is that? 2. Evidence held by the State/Feds is available to you & your lawyer thru Discovery. Motions for Discovery should be filed & heard by the Court prior to trial. NOT, on the day of trial. Ask your lawyer what motions he/she has filed; if he has not done this ask him to or otherwise. Be sure to include a request for state's Witness list, this will show you who the State intends to subpoena. 3. Be sure to have your own Subpoena list filed & served on time. 4. Delay is a time proven tactic for Defense; ppl forget, die, move on with their lives. 5. There are a lotta crap lawyers out there - Be sure that you don't have one of them.

After I read the discovery I felt pretty confident that I could beat the case but just recently they introduced new evidence that doesn't look good. I have to hire a specialist now, regarding that matter. My lawyer has filed a motion to not let them use the evidence...I find it very shady the way things are played out. I do have a good attorney he has been around for 40 years hes represented mobsters,murderers, politicians, Professional Athletes,as well as cops.

DickNose, your attorney should be giving you the best legal advise and counsel possible. I don't know the details of your situation, but if you have co-defendants, and they have different attorneys, conflicts often arise. Again, without knowing your circumstances, in most cases, attorneys try to sever one defendant from another into separate trials. The strategies for this are obvious.
If you feel your attorney is not representing your best interests, get another attorney. It sounds like your gut is talking to you.
Best way to catch the smart ones? Get an idiot working for them.

Jesus Christ DickNose, those are some real bad charges. Use of a firearm in the commission of a crime where the victim got shot? Real bad charge. Even worse is the Home Invasion where the victim was wounded. As soon as you get full discovery you should get a good feel for the case, You'll know if you can beat it or not. But those charges could be real trouble. If you don't think you can beat the case then i highly recommend cutting a plea deal. If you're found guilty on all those charges after a trial the judge will show you no mercy. Armed home invasion is a VERY serious charge. Shit, sorry to hear about your problems. Good luck in court.

DickNose i hear Rio de Janeiro is pretty nice this time of year, maybe you should consider "relocating".  The way i understand the law down there is if you knock up a Brazilian woman and she gives birth they won't deport you. I remember reading that in the case against that guy in cali, Jesse James Hollywood. His problem was his girlfriend didn't give birth before they grabbed him, but if she did he would of been left alone since he would of been the father of a Brazilian child.
