Tonight I had one of the BEST nights working of my life. Not many here know but I'm currently working for our local minor-league baseball club (the Hudson Valley Renegades). Tonight was Bill Murray bobblehead night. My father got 1 for him and myself. Well, after the game starts (I work in the souvenir store) I look out the window and hear a lot of people talking inside the store about a gentleman wearing a red coat. Sure enough he turns around and it's the man, Bill Murray HIMSELF! He walks past the window and up to his skybox seats. I figure that's the last I'll see of him for the rest of the night, but it's cool that I at least got to get that close to him.

8th inning rolls around (after he sang 'Take Me Out To The Ballgame' during the 7th-inning stretch), I see 2 local cops standing at both of our doors entering the gift shop. I wonder what's going on when I realize they're not letting anyone else in the shop. I look towards the center of the store and sure enough Bill's in there picking up souvenirs for his kids/grand kids. There's maybe 8 other people in the gift shop asking him for autographs, which he is more than willingly to accomadate to. He comes up to the counter asking how much for a program and a Renegade beanie baby. I tell him $12 and start to bag it (I'm not really going to charge Bill Murray). I tell him I'm joking and if he can sign my program (which I didn't intend of buying unless he autographed it). He signs his name and I ask him if he could personalize it for me. He certainly does and also puts "read and comprehend" on it. I shake his hand and tell him I loved him in Ghosbusters and he says 'thanks.' Grabs his merchandise and leaves the store. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of him but I can't believe I shook Bill Murray's hand AND got a personalized autograph from him. And for those who say "why did you tell him you loved him in Ghostbusters?" Hey, I was born in 1983 and I grew up idiolizing the f'n Ghostbusters. And my favorite Ghostbuster from the group was none other than Dr. Peter Venkman himself, Bill Murray (and I know I'm not alone, right xxx_don_corleone_xxx)? tongue

PS - For those wondering what Bill Murray was doing in Fishkill, New York for a baseball game, he's part owner of the Hudson Valley Renegades.

That was probably the biggest celebrity I've ever met. I saw former-Yankee Chuck Knoblauch on a plane from New York to Texas and also actor William Sadler on a plane as well. I was younger and didn't get either's autograph but my brother did (Chuck signed a Sports Illustrated that my brother picked up. In fact, it was the Sports Illustrated that had the John Rocker article where he trashed New York and William signed a napkin for my brother as well).

On my last night in LA back in February or whenever I went, I saw Mark Curry walking through a hallway in a parking garage. I had never regularly watched Hangin with Mr. Cooper, but I still knew who he was.

Hopefully I get someone more famous than him someday.

Eh, when I was in Vegas when I was 12, I met Ah-nuld and Dennis Rodman.

Huge guys. Especially to a 12 year old.

Referring to Dennis Rodman as a "guy" might not be anatomically correct. tongue grin

Sweet! Where they nice or not really? I also forgot to mention I met Ken Griffey Jr. at a baseball game. He was playing for the Mariners at the time playing in Yankee stadium and I got a card signed by him cool

I don't really remember... I know Dennis was with a bunch of people, so he didn't really say anything. I just said "Hi." like the dork that I am.

Ah-nuld was with his wife.. they were coming out of the store he owns in Caesars Palace (i think?) They were nice.

I didn't get any autographs. I have a problem asking celebrities for autographs... because you know.. they're just real people. And I'm sure they get tired of it.

Willy Wonka - Best part is the end...

Jack Sparrow - I've only watched part of this, but it looks good.

West Texas Cowboy:

A West Texas cowboy was herding his cows in a remote pasture when
suddenly a brand-new BMW advanced out of a dust cloud
towards him.

The driver, a young man in a Brioni suit, Gucci shoes, Ray Ban
sunglasses and YSL tie, leans out the window and asks the cowboy, "If I
tell you exactly how many cows and calves you have in your herd, will
you give me a calf?"

The cowboy looks at the man, obviously a yuppie, then looks at his
peacefully
grazing herd and calmly answers, "Sure, Why not?"

The yuppie parks his car, whips out his Dell notebook computer,
connects it to his Cingular RAZR V3 cell phone, and surfs to a NASA page

on the Internet, where he calls up a GPS satellite navigation system to
get an exact fix on his location which he then feeds to another NASA
satellite that scans the
area in an ultra-high-resolution photo.

The young man then opens the digital photo in Adobe Photoshop and
exports it to an image processing facility in Hamburg, Germany. Within
seconds, he receives an email on his Palm Pilot that the image has been
processed and the data stored.

He then accesses a MS-SQL database through an ODBC connected Excel
spreadsheet with email on his Blackberry and, after a
few minutes, receives a response.

Finally, he prints out a full-color,
150-page report on his hi-tech, miniaturized HP LaserJet printer and
finally
turns to the cowboy and says, "You have exactly 1,586 cows and calves."

"That's right. Well, I guess you can take one of my calves," says the
cowboy.

He watches the young man select one of the animals and looks on amused
as the young man stuffs it into the trunk of his car.

Then the cowboy says to the young man, "Hey, if I can tell you exactly
what your business is, will you give me back my calf?"

The young man thinks about it for a second and then says, "Okay, why
not?"

"You're a Congressman ", says the cowboy.

"Wow! That's correct," says the yuppie, "but how did you guess that?"

"No guessing required." answered the cowboy.

"You showed up here even though nobody called you; you want to get paid
for an answer I already knew, to a question I never asked.

You tried to show me how much smarter you are; and you
don't know a thing about cows........

Now give me back my dog." lol lol

Ok, here's another one. I don't remember if it's been posted in the past, but it's still funny. grin

Subject: Blond on a horse

A blonde decides to learn and try horse back riding unassisted without prior experience or lessons. She mounts the horse with great effort, and the tall, shiny horse springs into motion.

It gallops along at a steady and rhythmic pace, but the blonde begins to slip from the saddle. Out of shear terror, she grabs for the horse's mane but cannot seem to get a firm grip. She tries to throw her arms around the horse's neck, but she slides down the side of the horse
anyway. The horse gallops along, seemingly oblivious to its slipping rider.

Finally, giving up her frail grip, she leaps away from the horse to try and throw herself to safety. Unfortunately, her foot has become entangled in the stirrup. She is now
at the mercy of the horse's pounding hooves as her head is struck against the ground again and again. As her head is battered against the ground, she is mere moments away from unconsciousness or even death when Frank, the Wal-Mart manager runs out to shut the horse off. lol

Glad you liked them, Bogey - I figured you'd appreciate it. wink

You'd also appreciate this...I watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory again today! I can't get over how Depp manages to pull off such a variety of characters through his many roles. And look good while doing it. grin Really though, I mean, Jack Sparrow to Willy Wonka? Pretty awesome.
