Not sure. There is a great book called "Lords of Lawndale" and subsequently retitled under "Great American Youth" by a guy named Michael Polk (not real name) talking about his time as an Almighty Gaylord in Chicago in the 80s. I think he lived in the West Logan Square area, somewhere around there.

It's a first hand account and poorly edited but very interesting if you're interested in the gangs from that era.

From what I understand there are still a very few small "sets" of Gaylords around Chicago.

He talks extensively about the Royals and similar gangs in it.
