Hi Mig,

Yea, especially on a holiday weekend. However, Saturday the 101 traffic came to a halt because a mattress was laying in the middle of the freeway. rolleyes lol That type of thing is a pain too.

I saw Richie Havens in concert last night at a free festival near me; he was on last, at half 9 til half 10, and I'd been on my feet all day...literally, all day. Hard-Fi were on at the same time on a different stage, and the volume of that almost overwhelmed Havens' performance. Though not quite. It was light when he began, and by his encore the moon was out, a beautiful cresent, and he commented on it, and made a little speech about children being aliens in that they were invading our planet and taking it over whether we liked it or not and his guitaring and voice both amazed me and when he was finished I roared in cheer and woke up this morning unable to speak. Brilliant.

You know, I can't change the channel on TV without coming across some kind of Da Vinci Code program about the bloody Holy Grail.

I don't see the problem. Surely everyone knows Indiana Jones found it years ago.

Gina, I got one for Mr. Babe. His birthday is next week. Not sure if I'm giving it to him for Father's Day or his birthday.

Great, SB! Did you find the very same one? I couldn't believe we found any kind of Blues Bros. merchandise at a place like Target.

I'll probably start seeing all the kids at school wearing it because it's the "latest fashion" - "retro style" or something. rolleyes lol I'll just quiz them to see if they know the movie...and if not, I steal the shirt. grin

Its a rather routine procedure, conducted by an orthopaedic surgeon.

Wikipedia can explain it better than I can:

Quote
Arthroscopy (also called arthroscopic surgery) is a minimally invasive surgical procedure in which a physical examination of the interior of a joint is performed using an arthroscope, a type of endoscope that is inserted into the joint through a small incision. Arthroscopic procedures can be done to evaluate and treat many orthopaedic conditions including torn floating cartilage, torn surface cartilage, ACL reconstruction and trimming damaged cartilage.

The advantage of arthroscopy over traditional knee endoscopies is that the joint does not have to be opened up fully. Instead, only two small incisions are made - one for the arthroscope and one for the surgical instruments. This reduces the recovery time of the patient and may increase the rate of surgical success due to less trauma to the connective tissue. It is especially useful for professional athletes, who frequently injure knee joints and require fast healing time. There is also less scarring, because of the smaller incisions.

The surgical instruments used are smaller than traditional instruments. Surgeons view the joint area on a video monitor, and can diagnose and repair broken joint tissue, such as ligaments and menisci).
In my case, it was my left wrist.

I had the premier showing of my final short film production for high school today. It was well-received, and although I didn't quite complete my original vision, I'm satisfied with the finished product.

Somehow I got sucked into watching the National Spelling Bee today...I was looking for baseball to watch, and I ended up finding this on ESPN, then later ABC.

I did a spelling bee at my middle school, but my God, I wouldn't last a minute in this! eek I don't think I got a single word correct, even by guessing. lol

I always enjoyed spelling bees when I was in school. Don't know why exactly. Maybe the challenge. confused I used to get so mad because many times, I would be second or third to the last standing. I wanted to win! tongue

However, I wouldn't last one round in this kind of tournament. I not only couldn't spell these words, but never heard of most of them!! eek Do these people memorize the dictionary or what??? confused Wow!! I guess if you're gonna possess a special talent, being an excellent speller is a big plus.

You're getting ducks, god I love ducks. Only third to dogs and otters as my favourite animals. Names? How about H5N1 and Craig?

Or give them a pair of names. I once had rabbits called Dandelion and Burdock.
