I have to do a research paper about something that influenced American Culture. I picked Independent Film, but the strangulation of guidelines for the paper takes away any fun I could have with it. Instead of just writing I have to have information from books or sites I don't know, and without these citations I'm unable to score higher then a 50. And that's just one of the many guidelines.

Ridiculous. It reduces writing to math personified by literature.
