Cattolica Eraclea is irrelevant today. It's nothing close to what it was when Rizzuto was there, and even years after.
His family has dispersed out among neighboring town in Agrigento. The Caruana's and Cun trera's are all pretty much out of there. They have moved into Siculiana, Realmonte, and Porto Empedocle. Nobody is waiting on Rizzuto or his money anymore. The Caruana's and Cun trera's are heavily involved in trucking industry over the years and do very well on their own, amongst their own clan. The wind farms and utilities and concrete/construction have been taken over by other bosses in Agrigento. Messina-Denaro isn't letting anyone come back and muscle in on any of that stuff in Agrigento, not today and not tomorrow.
Rizzuto has no reason to willfully come back to Cattolica Eraclea, not in a mafia sense anyway. And what family he's got left over there, is pretty few.
