SPOILER FROM LAST SEASONI was really shocked at Shane's death. Dale was not a bad guy and wanted to keep everyone humane BUT I found him to be a little annoying.  He was always interfering with Andrea's life and tho justified, his constant attacks on Shane bugged me. Don't know why exactly, but, no, I won't miss him.  Shane, was kind of realistic, facing the facts, and yet was a little too eager to kill and Dale was the opposite IMHO. TIS

DZ, I DO see your point about Dale (his heart was in the right place) AND Shane for that matter (he certainly WAS a downer for the group.) I've kind of concluded that the good stories and good acting is what makes this show so appealing to me. I hope they can continue with intriguing storylines, at least for a while. Oh, plus I see some new faces this season. Can't wait to see it. TIS

Anyone notice that all the cable tv providers have ads announcing that DISH w/b dropping Walking Dead from their channel line-up, encouraging them to switch over. At least here in CA Dish is dropping WD. TIS

Also, AMC is replaying season one & two starting 11:00 a.m. (Pacific Time) with a 5 minute preview of Season 3 at 1:40 p.m. TIS I thought it was season 2, but the first season first episode is airing now, with Rick checking out the barren streets and coming across a child "Walker." Damn, I have only seen season one once. I wish I could be home to watch the entire season.

I enjoyed the season opener. Looks like they found a spacious and at some point, possibly safe haven in the prison. I really feel badly for Rick. It seems he has the weight of what's left of the world on his shoulders. Lori, (and I know she's pregnant) seems unjustifiably pissed at him. She acts like a diva sometimes. I was shocked at the scene with poor Herschal.  He's the only doctor they had and he WAS bitten. AND, Lori's fear about the baby. Could it be a little Zombie baby? Oh and I hope Andrea isn't gonna become a Walker. Oh, and the ending, WOW! "Walkers to the left of me, Walkers to the right." AND those were "normal" looking people at the end right? To quote the last two words of the episode, "Holy shit." TIS

Btw, it continues to amaze me how some actors can hide their English accents. I had no idea Andrew Lincoln (Rick) was English. You'd never know it by the series. Same true of House (Hugh Laurie). Blew me away. How do they do it. Alex O'Loughlin McGarret from Hawaii Five-O actually is from Australia and has an accent in real life. Just my two cents but I don't know that an American could pull of a successful English accent (Rene Zeilweiger is the only one I know of) TIS

I thought it was a excellent opening episode, it appears Rick now has total control over the group, i just got the impression that as time has pasted(six months) he has manipulated them all and they will do what he says maybe bar Daryl.. I think Hershal will survive even though he was bit, Rick chopping above the bite should be ok.. I got a feeling this season will be amazing.. The next episode we should finally see the new character the prison warden and maybe Merle.. Also the new character Michonne has two walkers chained up behind her has she walks, is this to keep walkers away from her as im not too sure how this would work.. Here to 15 more episodes..

Alright, he was a bit too nosy interfering in Andrea's life but then he was there for here when she seemed considering suicide after the death of her sister. Dale is my man and I'm definitely gonna miss him especially his hat.
