Racketeering, extortion, and something about illegal poker machines. No murders though, which is a first for a Philly case. Even though the case is weak, it still looks as though Ligambi and the others will be convicted.

So if convicted that's him away for good i wonder how long Merlino when (and if i guess) will last i can't personally see him making it 2 years.

Personally if Merlino can law low long enough, he can lead Philly back. But that's a big "if". I still believe Philly isn't down for the count just yet

Of course Joey isn't even in Philly right now, he's in Florida just giving orders to Steve Mazzone. Since Ligambi's faction is basically locked up, Merlino's took over with the exception of Mikey Lance and John Ciangiali (I'm pretty sure that's not spelled correctly)

All i can say is Joey better have dropped the John Gotti persona and recognize who he should be impersonating (the chin) if he wants to be successful .

Don't forget that the amount of evidence goes into determining the about of years the prosecution is going to offer in a deal. Angelina and Lucibello got good deals. Maybe they had a lot on Barretta. If not, then other guys are in trouble.

He plead guilty to running a bookmaking operation and attempting to collect and extortionate line of credit coming from a loan shark debt and collecting an extortionate line of credit stemming from a gambling debt. That dont sound that bad to get 41 months, you can lock up half of south philadelphia on those charges
