I thought almost all mob bosses in the USA own some legitimate businesses throughout their careers. At least they have to keep their image somehow, to look respectable even if they are not as flashy as Gotti. Correct me if I am wrong.
Anyway, it's not like in Italy where we often have unemployed peasants on the run for decades who still remain powerful bosses.

Idiot, The Chicago Outfit use that in a crime way. DiFronzo's are in their 80's and serious in The Outfit, I doubt very much they are looking in Legit things..

Anyone at that level is going to have legitimate businesses in addition to their street income. You can't make it otherwise.

If you want to buy nice homes, boats, cars, etc., you HAVE TO HAVE legitimate businesses as a way of both showing income and as a diversion from your criminal endeavors.

And don't think that some of these guys don't sometimes work 12 hour days at their legit places of business. Jesus, you had to see the Fulton Fish Market in its heyday. Made Guys and even Skippers walking around stinking of fish. But no one on these sites wants to believe that. And don't even get me started about guys in the scrap metal business in Hunts Point, or ANYONE in the garbage business.

They're JUST PEOPLE, like anyone else. Neighborhood guys. They're not spoiled celebrities.

He does. Circus Fruits in bklyn is one of them. He's getting into more legit businesses these days as well. Doesn't mean he's not doing other stuff, but like I keep saying, you have to have legal businesses today to show your income. He's a smart man, too.

Frank Cali isn't like a lot of guys in his generation. Intelligent, resourceful, I heard he's fluent in Italian. He's a member of a Sicilian clan too, he would never flip.

Well Nicky, I have never seen any Chicago Outfit high ranking member's have legit businessess, In the end they spill it all.

Well, the company that Nicky is talking about is D&P and let me tell you, they are HUGE. We are also in the construction business and I know for fact that D&P is all over Chicago. They have a huge, beautiful, fleet of roll off trucks as well as heavy machinery and dump trucks, demolition business, all of it. Years ago, my husband bought a couple of used cranes from them. They might not be completely legit, but they have a company that is second to none over there. Very impressive.

You do not know alot of stuff about Chicago. You are relying on Newspaper Clippings and Police Article's when they think they know it ALL but they actually dont. The DiFronzo's have many Construction's and other businesses as Covers so they do not get questioned about where their money is coming from.

When Peter or John DiFronzo next get arrested, They will start a new Company up and that will be called a Bail Job so they do not get harrsed by The Court.
