Debz, my Art course was different. It was three modules; two were coursework, one was the final, five hour exam. My first module was death as a natural form, a topic I made and researched myself, using Francis Bacon, my favourite artist ever, as an influence; second course was urban loneliness, using Hopper as an influence; my final exam was exploring the nature of the snapshot. What makes me so pleased about the exam was I went against my teacher's advice to stay in the conventions of what had gone before in past years, and I did my own thing. It paid off.
Mick Ah right cool, sounds a lot more interesting compared to our course!

I am studying Hopper as one of my built environment paintings this year along with Monet and the scottish realist painter James McIntosh Patrick.
