Does anybody recognize this guy? He wrote a book that was made into one of the best movies in the Mafia category.

I would have never guessed Burt Ward. I hadn't seen him in years, but just a couple months ago he called in to the L.A. radio station saying he'd be in the "Bat Mobile" promoting something. Maybe it was his book then. I am not sure. confused

Anyway, I don't know about a sex scandal but am curious as to what song Frank Zappa wrote for him? Can't be the Batman theme???

RE: the author pictured that wrote mafia book. I'm not sure. He has a David Caruso look though. Know what I mean? lol

It's Nick Pileggi.

Nope, it's Nick Pileggi the author (Wiseguy, Goodfellas, Casino and a lot more). He was married to Nora Ephron, who just passed away a few weeks ago.

Now that Burt Ward was guessed, I can tell my story. When I was about 4, Burt Ward, dressed as Robin, made an appearance at a local mall. He asked all of the kids to gather around him, and I went near him with my older brothers.

The two things I remember are that (1) he addressed everyone as "Citizen," and (2) I was terrified beyond belief. I was hiding behind my brother, clutching his collar and fighting back tears. It was probably the creepiest thing I'd seen up to that point of my life.

I was reminded of the incident about 10 years ago when the creepy kid, who played in the original CHILDREN OF THE CORN made an appearance at a Halloween festival. He appeared to be in his late 30s, but he wore the same outfit and played the same role as he did in the movie. The kids didn't know what the hell to make of him, but when the performance was over, he still acted in character as he was speaking to some of the workers.

I would, but I don't know how to eliminate an identifying name in a picture's URL from the "Properties" if someone should right-click on it.

I think SC has the answer to this; I sure don't.

I thought I found a way around this problem, but for some reason the "file manager" option isn't available in this thread, so I can't post anything from my own files. confused

So, for the time being I'll abdicate and let someone else post a picture.

1)You can always use a free hosting site (like Tinypic) and transfer your photo to that. That will reassign a new URL address without any identifying names.

2)You could also find a picture without the name of the person in its address.

When I looked at that photo of ol' Dino, two things stood out:

1. His original nose

2. I thought that was some sort of gigantic insect crawling up his jacket

It seems to have changed quite a bit, huh? But once you log in, you'll be able to upload photos to your account. Tinypic.com is faster, tho - no logging in necessary...

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol

To continue with the game. Who is the kid in front on the right? The photo was taken about 1952:
