So Im sure that most of us on here take Kuklinski's stories with a grain of salt because he embellishes a lot of his life; however, he said that when he fist became a hitman working for Roy DeMeo that Roy took him out in a car one day and picked out an innocent man walking his dog on the street and told Kuklinski to kill him, which Kuklinski did (to test his loyalty and abilities). I think this story is bullshit. What do you guys think??

Watched all the docs on him a few nights ago... fascinating. Hard to tell what the truth is.

I don't know about the books or anything, but in the HBO special, he did not say the man DeMeo had him kill was innocent.

He said that DeMeo told him "If you do this you have to just whack whoever I say, no questions asked. Can you do that?"

Kuklinski said he thought he could so they went to a certain place and waited until a man came around walking his dog and DeMeo said to kill him, and Kuklinski did.

He did not say the man was innocent or arbitrary, though. Likely it was someone DeMeo wanted dead anyway.

My point being is that this guy claims to have killed everybody that is still an open case in police files. He should have been called "Father Goose" with all the Fairy Tales he has spun. the story i have always heard is that he picked up the 'mob hit man' angle from bobby bisiccia while he was locked up already for the killings. before that he was just a serial killer.
