Just heard Casso was moved out of Supermax in Colorado, and put into a Fed. jail up in Minneapolis? Any particular reason that anyone knows about?

I just checked that out on the BOP inmate website, he's housed at Minneapolis CCM. "CC" being for Community Corrections.

Weird, what the hell is he doing up there? Maybe his cancer or whatever is back?

whatever the reason, thats a lucky break for him. that place makes the rock look like summer camp. the way i understand it is that the majority of that prison is built underground so that the inmates never know where they are in the prison, that said they are really hardly ever outta thier cells to begin with. escape from a place like that is as close to impossible as you can get.

it could be for a variety of reasons, maybe he is going to testify/appear before a grand jury pr before congress... who knows...

i remember in casso's book he talked about how the feds transferred him to a few different jails while they were doing some changes in his original prison which was ADX at that time.

During one of these excursions to another prison, Casso was on the same bus as Amuso and they both started talking. Amuso was like "I can tell from the look on your face you regret turning" and then Casso was telling him how the govt "screwed" his deal up.

I'm sure old gaspipe will welcome the change of scenery, I got an idea they should get all the gangsters still living doing life to be transferred to a jail set up for recording and get some recent interviews done.. before they fucking die... I believe supermax is usually temporary. Anyone know how many inmates ever done long stretch, like over ten years in there? They dismissed him as informer due to credibility issues, anyone see them still using him in such a role? Who is left from his time on streets for him to talk about?

perhaps, but without a doubt Gotti is #1. That loud, obnoxious, attention-whore did more to harm LCN nationwide than all the rats combined. Even after valachi flipped things were still doable. Look at the 70's... it was like the wild west all over the country (i.e. Vegas, NY, Chicago, everywhere) Once he killed castellano and started that teflon bullshit, the FBI had enough.

But yeah, casso is a total scumbag. One thing I do respect about gotti is the fact he took his sentence like a man and never tried to cop-out like casso. Do the crime, do the time.

From what I understand , true life sentences/ lifers without possibility of parole do their full sentence at ADX , but people who eventually will be released get transferred within a few years of getting out of jail or when they need room for a lifer . I know Pappy Mason is doing his life sentence there , Mutulu Shakur was there for a long time but he's only a few years from release (I believe he gets out 2016) and got transferred to Victorville . There's also a few MS13 guys there and some Crips & Bloods that will all do life . Most Wiseguys get transferred . Gaspipe I don't see getting out

As for worst induction into LCN I'd say Paul Castellano (at least the worst boss), he is hands down the reason the Feds have all the pictures and were able to positively ID all the Gambinos capos . Him and his whole weekly mandatory tribute meetings , what an ass. I do agree Gotti fucked a lot of it up as well . Not to mention his big mouth is what turned Sammy the Bull into a Cooperator . Maybe the Fed prosecutor is gonna re open the Calabro case against Sammy the Bull and have Gaspipe testify , that would be pretty insane seeing he's the one who implicated Sammy and Kuklinski in the first place ?

I'll catch heat for this, but Accardo 1000%. If you'd ever met the man, you'd know. Granted I was a kid (about 13) when he passed away, but very classy and raised a great family. Castellano should be up there too. After all, he was always thought of as more of a business man. Maybe Frank Costello? The old school guys just seem to be on another level when it comes to class. They must've started putting something into the water nationwide after WW2 that turned guys into pitbulls.

That is pretty strange. He must be in transit or something. You normally don't go from supermax to a community corrections location when your serving the amount of time Casso is. Is there a BOP medical center in Minnesota? But even then i think they would list the name of it. This might be Casso's big chance to escape because you know there was no way to break out of that ADX prison he was at.

I hope he rots I can't stand that ass. If he does somehow get released I hope Crea finds him and clips him that would make me very content.

Read Carlo's Gaspipe. It really tells how much of a powerhouse Tony Casso was. If the "cooperating witness" next to his nwme read "general population" you'd be saying how much of a martyr he was for LCN.

What the hell could the Govt offer him other than release, and that's not gonna happen. Ever. Beside, why would he even go for it since they've screwed him already top and bottom.
