Me and my friend that's an attorney went over to my to my friends house just the other day to hang out. ( I had brought this up on the ladies thread but ironically this thread came up today.

Our one friend who is a bit naive, recently signed up for match.com. He showed us the pictures of the girl that he was talking to from match.com and she was attractive hands down, but didn't not that spam porn star look that's obvious. Basically he had been chatting with her on gmail or yahoo messenger, and she had made up sob stories. The lack of morality is ridiculous about losing her family in a car accident, being hurt in the past by guys cheating on her, and even using the money to help the children. She claimed she was currently in West Africa, doing modeling and helping with a children s orphanage. ...My friend had talked to her(or it) for a week...Then the girl said she was coming back to the area within the next month.. She asked if she could have borrow money to buy tampons because she was on her period...and to send the money Western Union..by this time he caught on....She was like the money needs to be sent to hotel manager it was Lagos Nigeria..She never did ask an amount, said she wasnt getting paid till the end of the month or something like that...The info that she had mailed him said the person name and their favorite color or however WU works .He emailed me the chat log... Here the girl blocks him on match so the messenger service wasn't tied to match so she can continue her scam...I thought it was pretty petty and low for someone to go into all that detail, to scam money out of someone... I bet there is a whole syndicate of girls/men/or whatever that do that. My friend was down in the dumps, for a few days, almost like he was in denial that he was about to get scammed. So like any good friend would do when we went out the other night, and stopped at a strip club for a little bit, I bought him a lap dance haha
