I'm sick!!! mad I came down with a sore throat on Monday, but I went to work anyway, and I also went to work on Tuesday, and my throat was absolutely horrible. I thought about going in on Wednesday too, which was my day off, to get a little more overtime, but I decided (wisely) against it. Now, my sore throat is gone, but I'm sneezing up a storm, and I'm pretty sure my nose could win the L.A. marathon as much as its running.

God, XDC, It's so bad... I'm also working not quite recovered from sickness, and I feel for you very much. Hope it's not too cold where you live, and you'll be fine soon!

I feel like I live at Wal-Mart!!! We've been preparing for inventory, and I've had 1 day off in the past 2 weeks. Tomorrow is the day before inventory, and I'm completely drained. Granted, Wal-Mart has good overtime, not only do I get payed time and a half, but I also get 10 bucks for every hour I work overtime. I keep telling myself "just wait til Thursday, when you get payed, and it'll all be worth it." Then I say "yea right!" mad Can someone please tell me what sleeping feels like. I forgot. ohwell

Tough it out XXX, I know you got it in you! I kinda feel your pain. I woke up everyday last week (yes during my spring break) at 8 am to work from 9-6. Sure the hours were great, but then Saturday I kinda had to be up early to pick up my friend to see The Ring Two. But yesterday and today my sleep has been heavenily! Tough it out and then take a couple of days off for yourself and all you'll do (and wanna do) is sleep

I was wanted to share that my roomates and I seem to be getting along better (HOO RAY!). Thanks God for spring break. But get this, I go to a Baptist University and I find out tonight that I've got a Managerial Economics test next Monday (meaning I've gotta study this weekend). I can't believe it, a Christian school makes us study during the holy weekend. Can you beat it? Not to mention I'm Catholic. I've gotta go to Mass Thursday at 7:30, Stations of the Cross on Friday at 3:00, Veneration of the Cross at 7:30 that night, and the Easter Vigil Mass at 7:30 on Saturday. Not to mention I was wanting to possibly watch 21 Grams and The Passion of the Christ this weekend, and finish reading The Return of the King. Now how am I supposed to do all of this!? mad

Na I won't. I asked him if there was anyway to get the test pushed back til the Monday after, but he said no because we're behind, and after next Monday, we'll only have 3 more class periods until the final, and he doesn't wanna push it back. And what I really hate, is when teachers pile work onto you, like there class is the only 1 that you're taking! Not to mention, after they assign the work, they take forever to hand it back (if it's a project or paper), and then they have the nerve to complain saying "I've got so much grading to do." Well numb nuts, if you didn't assign it in the first place, neither of us would be in this position, now would we? In any case, I'm gonna study for the test tomorrow and Wednesday (getting tutored by a guy in class) and then I'll make time this weekend to study, but I plan on doing everything that I listed in the last post.

Ahh well thank you Mig. Well it is the holiest weekend of the year and you'd think the teachers would have a little more respect for it. I guess the way they see it is we get off on Friday and so have an extra day to study. It's really a shame but I'm not going to break my plans just to appease them. This semester I've been doing that a lot more, with me graduating in May and I'm really enjoying it. I just wish that I would have kept me nose out of the books earlier and done other stuff that I wanted to. But I'm gonna try to study as much as I can tomorrow and Wednesday so that I can enjoy the weekend (not to mention men's college basketball starts again on Thursday)

I always feel like every teacher I have always thinks their class is the only one any of us are taking. I'm dreading my finals...I always far so fall behind all semester, and then spend 2 weeks going crazy!

While getting dressed to take my husband to the hospital for his knee surgery, I broke a nail. Now, this isn't just a little chip or break, it's way down to the quick. However, seeing that my husband was having surgery, I felt way too guilty to bitch about it. Therefore, here in the anonymity of the internet, I will admit to being upset about my broken nail, even while I was waiting for the surgeon to tell me how my husband did. By the way, the surgery went very well.

This is probably the first year of finals that I'm not worrying. I'm getting done with a class the week before finals so I won't have to worry about it when finals do come around. Then I have a final Monday, 2 Tuesday, none Wednesday, 1 Thursday, and none Friday (but I do have practice for graduation). And there's only 1 real test that I'm worried about because it's comprehensive and it's 30% of my grade! mad

One of my finals is 50%...it's all the class is, 2 exams, and I got a B on the first one, so I need to do good on the final. It will probably help when I read my book for the class!

50%!? Man that would suck. What are up with these teachers!? I think usually in my classes I have 3-4 tests and then the final (and they're all worth the same amount of points, 15-20%). I would hate to take a class with a final like that. Is it comprehensive?

Yep, it's comprehensive. It's a soc class that the guy teaches like a philosophy class. I do not understand any of the books we are reading...I completely bs'ed my way through the first exam, and I was amazed that I got a B (I'm a english major though, so i am a good bs-er wink ) The final will be another essay thing, like 3-5 questions, covering everything we were supposed to read. I am scared!

Aww, that sucks! I hate when stuff like that happens, but it happens in the midst of something more important. I slammed the car door on my hand at my grandmother's funeral, and I just kept quiet about it all day... so I know what that's like. Well, lucky for this anonymity, you can bitch all you want. wink I hope it grows back quickly! Filing it back into shape when it breaks that deep takes forever, too... I hate that. Anyway, I'm glad your husband's surgery went well, too.

Zia, Thanks. Only another woman could understand!! His surgery did go well. I should, however, be a size 5 when I'm done running up and down the stairs taking care of him (I wish).

Despite what I hear from most women, my husband's a very good patient. He just is having a hard time getting around, so it's up and down the stairs I go. I've tried calling up to him to see if he needs anything, but he's got two machines on his knee (one to move his knee and the other that prevents swelling by constantly surrounding the knee with cold water) and they're so noisy that he can't hear me. So, up and down I go.

Man, we have the wickedest storm going on over here!! Out of nowhere, kind of. Well, yesterday was pretty... then today was kind of drizzly, and then around 4, BOOM, lightning, thunder, the whole works. AGAIN! This is by far the most rain I have ever seen in one year. This is more rain than I usually see in like 3 or 4 years! I think this year we got more than Seattle's annual average!! Imagine that.
