I had to do a presentation on Multiple Personality Disorder for my Psychology class. I made a Power Point with and "Exorcist" theme. I put in some clips and sound bytes. The class seemed to like it. smile

On an unrelated note, I'm curious at what stage in time did women start shaving their legs and armpits? I mean, Raquel Welch looked awesome in One Million Years BC but that's obviously unrealistic.
Can't wait to see pix! smile

It may seem painful but I think women were plucking body hair (with strings or wax) before they started shaving as some still believe this is a better alternative because shaving thickens hair. At any rate, I don't think women and body hair go well together. lol tongue

I took a nap from about six to nine, and when I woke up and looked at the clock, I thought it was time to get ready for church, as if it was Sunday! lol I love when that happens, though, because I realized I still had all of tonight left. I'll probably go back to sleep. cool

Just got back from seeing Pauly Shore. It was a pretty good show and his father Sammy was on before him and another guy (who was pretty funny). Well here's the joke of the night that got everyone on my case for it. My 2 friends and I were talking when I looked up and saw Pauly Shore no more than a foot from me. I didn't have time to process this and make a smart remark, so I blurted "How you goin'?" before I could think about it. Every since then, let's jsut say that my friends haven't died it down yet.

Two bored casino dealers were waiting at a craps table. A very attractive blonde woman arrived and bet twenty-thousand dollars on a single roll of the dice. She said, "I hope you don't mind, but I feel much luckier when I'm completely nude."

With that she stripped from her neck down, rolled the dice and yelled, "Mama needs new clothes!" Then she hollered..."YES! YES! I WON!" She jumped up and down and hugged each of the dealers. She then picked up all the money and clothes and quickly departed. The dealers just stared at each other dumbfounded. Finally, one of them asked, "What did she roll?" The other answered, "I don't know, I thought YOU were watching!"

Moral: Not all blondes are dumb, but all men are men!!!

lol Nice one, XDC. I love the moral. Very true.

By the way, that didn't have to be only two dealers... it could have been 18 dealers and STILL none of them would have caught it!! tongue

lol Bravo XXX! Very nice story

As for me, I just wanted to report the good news that my roomates and I seem to be getting along better, which I'm TOTALLY grateful for. Plus this week hasn't been that bad (got my paper written for tomorrow in about 3 days), plus I watched the entire season of The Shield Season 3, the hour long special feature and The Ten Commandments tonight. Tomorrow I plan on beginning disc 3 of The Fellowship of the Ring (or the first disc of special features)

This is weird. I think I've found a "soup nazi" at my school cafeteria, only this is the "pizza nazi" version. She has certain kids come up and talk to her, and I think they even get to order ahead of everyone; apparently they have been "accepted." I fold my money in my pocket, so when I take it out, it's wrinkled and folded up, and one day she said that she'd appreciate it if I didn't do that. I understood, of course, but that time, as well as others, she seemed to be annoyed with me or mistrust me...or something. There's two lines for pizza, but hers was always shorter, so I kept going there. Finally, this past week, she was laughing at something someone in front of me did, so I smiled when I came up to pay, made my order in my most respectful "pizza nazi" voice, and suddenly...I could tell she had accepted me. cool And if there's any trouble, I'll just find that pizza recipe and blackmail her. "No more pizza for you. NEXT!" grin (Though I can't say I'd really want the pizza recipe...the calzones are delish, though! Which reminds me of another episode... wink )

Absolutely! Honestly, I think today I made about three references besides this post. I was talking to my friend when I thought of two, and she was just laughing at me for remembering these random things, and then I was thinking to myself how I'm like Elaine with one of her quirks I've seen in several episodes...how she looks at people she wants to yell something at, but she just thinks it in her head. In the episode where she was on the subway, and the one on the plane, she did this. She just stares at them and makes facial expressions, but you can only hear her thinking insults... lol Honestly, Seinfeld comes up in just about every conversation, situation, etc. It's amazing. wink

Glad to see you're becoming a fellow "Seinfeld Nazi!" You know you're too into it when you equate it into your daily life. I said something from a Seinfeld episode earlier today to 1 of my roomates but now I can't remember what it was. I know it was something that George said, but when I said it I told my roomate, "Hey, I watch my Seinfeld too" wink

That's a hilarious story!! It's awesome, seeing that "moment of acceptance."

On kind of the same vein, but not Seinfeld-related-- I have this one professor this semester who is a total jerk. Everyone hates him or is scared of him, and it's like a known fact that he hasn't smiled at a student in maybe 8 years. But personally, I never really disliked him, because he's a good teacher. He gives good lectures, and he's really intelligent. And he's very handsome for his age, and you know me and older men. lol

*ahem* So anyway, usually when people ask him questions, he just answers them quickly with little or no eye contact, and moves on. But the other day, I went up after class to ask him about this paper we have to write. He'd been really vague about it, but he's very particular about grading-- just because he was vague doesn't mean you've got a lot of room to move around, ya know? So I went up and asked him if intelligence agencies would fall under the category he wanted us to write about.

He rolled his eyes and said, "Yeah, you wanna write about the CIA, go ahead, but I don't want any glamorous, fluffy Hollywood bullshit in there."

So I started laughing and said, "Oh, I can't use Al Pacino's The Recruit in my bibliography??"

He looked at me, and there was that sudden acceptance in his eyes, but without smiling, he said, "Heh." So it was kind of a laugh, but not really. So I mentioned, "Actually, I was thinking of concentrating more on the NRO, what do you think?"

And at this moment, I'll never forget it... he SMILED at me and said, "Recon, huh? Well, well!" And then, he actually started laughing and said, "Well, you're certainly not what I expected when I first saw you. I'm looking forward to reading your paper, no matter what you decide to write about." eek

I almost died. It was so cool. Well, it's not the first time that someone takes one look at me and decides that I'm an airhead (happens every day), but this was the most memorable one, for sure.

Now that I think of it, I bet he actually DID military or intelligence work before he was a professor... he looks like the type. He's tough, really tough. One of those men who's like in his early 70's, and very distinguished, but still could kick anyone's ass. tongue

This always happens to me. Just today, my school served brocoli for lunch. When I got to my table, I picked it up and said "Vile Weed!". Yesterday, everyone in my class signed a card for our teacher. He had surgery and has been out of school for a while. In the card, I wrote "Get Well, Get Well Soon, We Want You To Get Well". lol

Awesome, Zia! You're a good storyteller...I really was proud of you when I read that you got him to smile! lol I like trying to "break" people who aren't especially jokers. Well, yours sounds very tough, but it feels good to make a serious person laugh or smile.

Freddie, knowing the Seinfeld fanatic you are, you probably have a Sein-reference every single day! grin Reading your post just reminded me of George's infamous answering machine message, so I guess that'll be stuck in my head for a couple of days... tongue

Totally!! My dad has an old friend who comes to visit us a few times a year from Chicago. He's really serious, too, and he's my favorite person in the world to "break". Granted, it doesn't happen often, but I've known him all my life and I've made him laugh like 4 times. It's like a triumph getting a smile out of these people, let alone a good laugh. lol

It's funny, Seinfeld moments just present themselves on a daily basis, because it's a show about nothing. And "nothingness" happens to everyone every day. I guess that's why it's so easy to quote it all the time.

lol So true...

I do this really stupid thing to my brother to get him to smile, but I seem to remember him starting it. Anytime one of us is in a bad mood, the other always takes the opportunity to act as stupid and annoying as they can to try to get a laugh. I go up to him, right in his face, and I point and say, "I see a smile coming...!" It sounds so stupid, but I almost always get him to crack a smile... grin Of course, that probably wouldn't work on some people. Instead of a smile, I'd get a black eye. lol
