Sounds like you are trying to control one aspect of the game for the sake of statistics. Maybe all the grass and dirt should be identical too. Players must all be 6' tall and weigh 200 lbs.

It's the variables that make the game interesting and give it character. Variables create the unexpected. Modern technology has stripped some of the human element from the game. I'd like to see a park with 400 feet down the lines and 325 in center.
