Where the hell did that Connecticut birthplace come from anyway?

(Note: Please do not answer "Wikipedia" - I've seen it only there and the content forkings. I (or maybe it was someone else) found the edit whre it was added and found it odd that the editor got the date of birth right but seemed to pull the place out of their ass)
