Haven't tried it yet... too busy, and going away for a week Friday, so...
But anyone with problems should still post here with specific details to help narrow down the issues...

I am running TuneUp Utilities Pro, Malwarebytes Pro, and ESET NOD32 Antivirus Pro (best in my opinion).
With these three programs I have been able to manage my PC mroe than adequately, my computer runs in tip top shape, no viruses/malware/trojans,etc in all three years that I have had it which is great considering I am constaly streaming, downloading music and videos on it.
Note: I didnt pay for any of the aforementioned software even though I have the pro/premium versions which require payment. I used an old friend called Google to search warez sites for them and for serial numbers, etc.
Ok, I've got a problem. I was updated MalwareBytes Pro tonight and it looks like it went back to the free version because my real time protection isn't on. The instructions indicate that if this problem arises, I should try running it as administrator. Have you ever had this problem because I haven't and I googled how to run it as an administrator and not sure if the changes will save or not? A little confused and I'd REALLY rather not have to download it again. nope i have never had this issue, right click malwarebytes and run it as an administrator

I did, not sure if it worked. Before I did I clicked the begin trial link so all it says instead of Pro is trial. The trial version is 2 weeks long so I guess I'll find out soon enough but I did right click and ran as administrator. Only time will tell now I guess. If not, I think I'm going to have to get a different version of it you should be fine , i wouldnt worry too much about it

I guess when you update it, it kicks you back down to a free version. If you don't ever update it though, won't it become out of date rather quickly? How else are you suppose to have the most current malware definitions to scan for? well you can always just pay for the pro version... well if u hack the program then worrying about it becoming the free version when you update wouldnt be an issue) i think the free version is just as good as the pro honestly not that much of a difference

I have the free version and I get prompted for definition updates. In fact, I was just prompted that my definitions are 7 days out of date.

I agree. I think the feature that I like most is it's a proactive program. Basically I like the real-time protection. The pro version seems to protect your computer from becoming infected. The free version seems to be reactive in that it fixes your computer after it's already infected. true, but i dont even use the real time protection because it is annoying as it is always running in the taskbar and a notification pops up when its soemthing it doesnt like even if it may be harmless, you can always get the free version and run a full scan once a week or more often

Have you ever used Spybot?

Yeah, the new system is supposedly A LOT more user friendly. I've read online that if people were thinking of switching from Windows, now's the time. It looks like a Mac almost in terms of appearance. The only problem I found with it somewhat was that some software isn't Linux compatible. I'm still thinking about it. My friend at work said he could do it to where when it boots up, I could choose whether I want to run Linux or Windows (which I think is pretty sweet!). Seriously giving it consideration. Yeah the whole not having eveyr piece of software being Linux compatible is a big turn off for me. Your friend is talking about having your pc do a "dual boot" where you can choose the OS you want. I have been thinking of doing that for my HP Touchpad (tablet) it currently runs on its native WebOS platform which I like, but a popular online group called Cyanogenmod hacked it to where it also runs on Android and I can choose which OS I want to run when I turn it on. The group also hacks other tablets and basically all smartphones to do bunch of cool stuff, and the best part is you can download the "roms" they make to hack your device for free. Currently, I dont have any time to do any of this cool stuff to my devices but hopefully once I am done with school I will give it a shoot and put android on it.

Cool, let us know how it turns out DD. I'd be curious. I've got an iPhone 3GS and always wanted to jailbreak it but I'm afraid of bricking it. However, when I get the new iPhone later this year, I may do it then since if I do brick it, it won't be a big deal since it won't be the phone I use daily.
As for my computer, I think I'm going to do the dual boot up. If I don't like it, I can just use the Windows but I watched a couple of videos on youtube about it and I'm intrigued. Not having to worry about antiviruses or spywares would be AWESOME! If all goes well, I'd think about switching my desktop as well (which is the computer I use for surfing the Internet, etc).

I just have to get used to the interface though. Pretty ordinary compared to MalwareBytes (or at least in my opinion it is). Well, when you're not purposely scanning, it just sits in the background and watches over everything -- no interface at all!

That I don't know, cuz it's never warned me -- I only notice it when installing/updating software, asking me to confirm the changes to the registry...

Click on the Help button in that section and it'll explain it. It's for IE, which I don't use, but "it modifies Internet Explorer, through official ways, to block a lot of the bad stuff known to Spybot-S&D."
